Blog posting - OWF

Basic summary of directions for the One Word Film project:

For the One Word Film Project, you and your partner have to create a 60-90 second silent short film that represents the one descriptive word assigned to you. You have to start a sheet and a 15 scene storyboard to plan shots and editing. All the filming for the film must take place in school setting with no sound, and editing must be done in Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Express (no CapCut). After done filming and editing, submit a screenshot and also upload the final video named "OWF_Lastname1_Lastname2" to Google Drive or OneDrive.

Summary of your approach to completing this project:

  • What did you do during brainstorming? My partner and I created an outline by using storyboarding to see how we wanted our shots in our scenes to look like and how it would be filmed.
  • How did your storyboard help you pre-visualize your project? It helped pre-visualizing by giving us insight of how the film shots would turn out and how they were going to be executed.
  • What editing resource did you utilize? We used I-Movie because we were very familiar with the platform already and has great editing techniques.
Analysis of what was done well and what you would like to improve next time:

What I would like to improve next time is how we got our point across, I believe we were a bit vague on out topic. What I think we did well is the amount of shots we used for each scene and it created mor ein depth and the feelings of what was happening.
